FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH                                                                    OF
                                        WOODBURY HEIGHTS

                                                               BUILDING & PROPERTY

Our main building is comprised of the Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall and Education building.  The Davenport Annex, adjacent to the main building, houses our office and is used for smaller gatherings. The third building is the Manse located on Temple Avenue in Woodbury Heights and is used exclusively as the pastor’s private residence.

Use of Facilities

The buildings and property of our church are used for many purposes and by many groups within the church and occasionally by community groups and private individuals.
Calendar for Use of Facilities – The Church secretary maintains a master calendar for use of facilities.  Since facilities are used by so many groups and individuals, it is essential that anyone planning or in charge of an event, coordinate with the pastor or secretary to avoid conflicts.
Use of Facilities – Fellowship Hall and other facilities may be made available to members for non-church functions.  Use of facilities by private or community groups, or individuals may also be considered when it does not present a conflict with church functions.  Use for all non-church functions must be approved by session, will be in accordance with firm guidelines, and will normally entail a donation to offset the costs of operations .  For a copy of the rental agreement and cost schedule, please contact Matt Woodrow,  Building and Property chairman.
Property Maintenance

The responsibility for buildings and property comes under Session and is assigned to the Building and Property Commission (B&P).  We employ a Sexton to keep up with much of the day-to-day cleaning and support for regular use of facilities.

Problems and recommendations – Please report any problems or recommendations to the office (845-0139), Sexton or a member of the B&P Commission.

Adopt-a-Project

“Adopt-a-Project” encourages all church members, families and groups to participate in the care of our facilities, using whatever time, talents and/or financial support they may want to offer.  Projects range from simple weeding, raking and trimming, to painting, repairs and alterations.
